June 15, 2020The proposed intakes will include fish screens specifically designed to exclude Delta smelt from entering the system prior to diversion using state-of-the-art fish screening meeting all regulatory requirements for Delta smelt as developed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Clifton Court Forebay is configured in a manner that fish screens cannot be installed at the existing inflow location to Clifton Court Forebay.
