Pile driving could be used at numerous locations of the Delta Conveyance program, including the intakes. The January 22, 2020, presentation on intakes described the potential need for pile driving at intake locations. The presentation included exhibits prepared by an acoustic engineer and quantified potential noise effects due to pile driving at the intake sites. It also addressed the potential for noise reduction with several construction methods.
