DCA is working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (levee owner) to ensure that the construction of the intakes poses no additional flood risk. The current plan for keeping the levees intact during intake construction was presented during the January 22, 2020, presentation on intakes. To address this issue, the DCA prepared a construction sequence animation that showed how the levee and flood management protection would be maintained throughout the entire construction period.
