The Mojave Water Agency, located in San Bernardino County, was established in 1960 to correct the overdraft of the basin. The Agency is one of 29 Contractors with rights to take delivery of State Water Project water from the California Aqueduct to replenish the service area when the use of groundwater resources exceeds the long-term average annual supply. MWA is governed by a 7-member Board of Directors.
