Michael Plinski

Alternate Director, representing San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District

Michael Plinski is the Chief of Water Resources for the San Bernardino Valley Municipal Water District. He is a Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California and has a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Resources Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Humboldt.

Michael spent the first 12 years of his career in private consulting focused on water and wastewater infrastructure projects and the past 14 years working for public water agencies.  Over his career Michael has been involved in regional water resources planning, developing watershed resiliency programs, supporting watermaster functions associated with adjudications and court decisions, and facilitating long-term water sales and conveyance agreements.  Michael is currently participating in the development of the $4 billion Sites Reservoir Project and the $20 billion Delta Conveyance Project which will benefit people throughout the State of California.
