June 15, 2020Sediment removal quantity calculations at the intakes would be dependent on total diversion amounts, which will be developed as DWR completes operational modeling for the EIR. Therefore, total annual amounts of sediment that could be removed at the intakes are unknown at this time. Based upon previous studies for intakes in this portion of the Sacramento River, sediment quantities removed at the intakes could range up to 10,000 cubic yards in a month with peak diversion flows.
